Master Bath and Closet Remodel

When we first bought our house, we hadn't thought much about the master bath except that there was some nasty carpet and found it weird that there was a door that separated the shower/tub and toilet from the rest of it. There was no door to either the sink area or the closet.
During our walk through
Master closet

Weird door separating them and an awful paint job

When we moved in we had the flooring ripped up and replaced the carpet in all the rooms, but decided to use wood laminate in the bathroom and master closet to match the flooring in the other parts of the house.

Carpet all torn up

Master Closet

All done and door removed
Laying the laminate

Carpet all gone and everything repainted
We still hated the wall and door frame that separated it. We decided to open it up and see what we had.

Starting the tear it down

Fixing the wiring

All gone
Patched the wall decently
We noticed that we were having some issues with mold and the drywall looked awful. We decided it was time to finally gut the bathroom. We hired a local neighbor who owns his own company ILO Home Remodeling Inc. He gave a great deal and we decided to start right away.

This is the reason we remodeled

We started buying the furnishings, we were able to fit this door in my Subaru

Everything stored in our extra room ready to go

Staining the new closet door
Our contractor, Larry started and gutted everything.

Found out the toilet had been leaking and we could've fallen through had we waited longer!

Floor wasn't even anymore due the water damage, so he had to level it

Putting new subflooring in

Slowly getting there
Installing the pocket doors, now we have one to the bathroom and the closet

Getting the shower framed out
Closet with the old shelving removed

Pocket closet door installed

Tile going up

Shower looking good

Plumbing for the double vanity

Toilet ready to be installed

New closet door

Drywall in the master bedroom
New rain door to the bathroom

To save money, we painted everything ourselves

This was done by Closets By Design, we thought they were well worth it. Our closet looks great!
