We bought bifold to put in our fourth bedroom, even though we measured, they didn't fit the frame... So we decided to take those doors and see if they would fit in our laundry closet. Luckily for us, they did fit with some minor adjustments. Taking a bit off the top and bottom, the floor in that area is not level, so we had to compensate for it. The opening was 59", so two normal 30" doors wouldn't fit there without cutting even more. So we bought one 30" and one 28" bifold door. For some reason, the doors didn't fit in the other frame which was the same size, odd isn't it? Once the doors were hung and painted, we added trim to make the doors look finished and nice.

Removed the trim and prepped the frame. |

Got the doors hung, we had to use a hack saw to cut the track to length. Time to paint! |

All done! |
Now, on to the actual room we started in. We decided that bypass doors would have to do in that room. We bought a 60" door kit from the home improvement store, we bought a six panel door kit that looked the other doors in the house. We had to cut the track down to fit that darn 59" frame. Luckily, since they are bypass doors, we didn't have to worry about the doors not fitting. Once we got the doors up, we used 1" molding to frame it out and then used door casing to further frame it.

We hope to finish the rest of the closets in the house soon!
