Closing in a door

Our house is interesting, our bonus room used to be a garage and for some reason, the previous owner decided to install another exterior door. We had so many people confused about which door to go to. We finally decided to close in the extra one. With some guidance from my Dad, we were able to buy the supplies and do it ourselves.

First we removed the old door and frame...easiest part by the way.

We used 2x4's and framed the entire opening.

We utilized our extra help, my brother to assist in measuring and lifting. We cut a piece of 3/4 inch plywood to put on the outside of the house, matching the existing material

Afterward, we used shed roofing paper and placed it over the area

The inside, we installed installation in the wall

Cut the drywall to size

All hung up

Mudded, took three coats to get it right

We started painting after we sanding down everything, also note, there is no light on the left yet.
We removed the outside light and used the wiring to put a light on the inside.

Finished inside

We are kind of dumb and forgot to take pictures of the outside, once it's light outside, we will update :D
