Yard Work for now

As you could tell from the first pictures of our house, a lot of the yard had been left alone and it was a jungle out there. We had ivy growing EVERYWHERE!!! We decided to do some cleaning up the yard and clearing some of it. Of course, we have a lot more to go, but that will have to wait until next year.

Today we channeled our inner Jason Voorhies and killed a bunch of campers...er trees and weeds, same thing right? We bought an electric chainsaw to clear some of the little trees and overhanging branches that we could reach. We were told it was hard to get rid of vines, we learned that mowing over them and dumping a bunch of vine weed killer, diluted very little, did the job.

We replaced our mailbox that had broke during the hurricane with this snazzy one.
